A fast growing community west of the city, which means a lot of newer housing and a steady stream of first upgrades.

Spruce Grove has grown quickly, so much of the housing is recent. That changes what we get called about. Instead of failing original wiring, it is capacity and additions: an EV charger going into a house whose service was calculated before anyone owned one, a hot tub added to a yard that was landscaped without a feed, a basement development off a panel with two spare slots.
None of that is a fault in the original work. It is a house being asked to do more than it was specified for. The job is usually a load calculation and either a sub-panel or a service upgrade, and knowing which before you buy the equipment saves a lot of frustration.
Excellent service and fair price. Fit my small job into his busy schedule when everyone else was at least 2 weeks out. Explained everything and was super thorough.
Everything was done to code and done well, and he was super patient with the on going nature of the renovations we were doing.
Often yes, but it needs calculating rather than assuming. Newer houses are not automatically sized for a charger, since the load calculation was done before that was standard. We check the actual service capacity before you order anything, because finding out afterward that the house needs a panel upgrade first is a much more expensive way to learn it.
Not usually, though it affects the route. The feed has to reach the tub buried at the correct depth, which means planning the run around existing landscaping. We look at the yard before quoting so the number accounts for the actual conditions.
Frequently, yes. Newer homes often have panels with only a couple of spare slots, and a finished basement needs more circuits than that. A sub-panel is usually cheaper than a full service upgrade if the main service still has capacity.
Yes. Workmanship is guaranteed for two years. Hardware usually carries its own manufacturer warranty on the part itself, but the labour to remove and replace a faulty component is charged separately. We tell you which applies before the work goes ahead.
